Football legend Ronaldo Nazario officially tied the knot with the 33-year-old Brazilian model Celina Locks last weekend in Ibiza.

This is Ronaldo’s third marriage after going through divorces with Milene Domingues and Daniella Cicarelli.

After the ceremony had concluded, the two were filmed walking down the aisle and out of the church as they were cheered and celebrated by friends and family.

The two were wearing the traditional Western wedding white dresses and were showered with flowers.

"Today we bring our families together for an intimate religious celebration. And thus marks the beginning of a week of many celebrations," Celina wrote on her Instagram account.

The two dated for almost seven years and finally decided to enter a new phase of their life as husband-wife.

Ronaldo, who is considered one of the greatest strikers of all time, would be more than happy to get married at this time. He owns the Spanish club Real Valladolid who are currently playing in the second division after a horrendous last season.

In their last ten matches, Valladolid only managed to win three and are currently ranked 10th with 10 points in seven games in the Segunda division.

It must be noted that Ronaldo bagged a total of 280 goals in his legendary career that was filled with greatness.

But the Brazilian had his fair share of injuries. In November 1999 during a match, Ronaldo felt his knee buckle and was forced to leave the field as he was unable to walk. After a thorough medical examination, it was confirmed that he required surgery.

However, in April 2000, the two-time World Cup winner made his comeback but after spending just six minutes on the field, he suffered a complete rapture of the knee-cap tendons. According to his physiotherapist, it was the worst injury he had ever seen.

Ronaldo missed the entire 2000-01 and after two operations and rehabilitation, the Brazilian marked his comeback for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and helped Brazil win their fifth mega event by scoring twice in the final and eventually grabbing the Golden Boot.

It has to be mentioned that despite so many legendary events in his career, Ronaldo is one of the very few footballers — like Gianluigi Buffon and Zlatan Ibrahimovic — who have never won the UEFA Champions League.
